Hunter joins Triterra as Director of Due Diligence

LANSING, MI – APRIL 2023: Triterra, a Michigan-based Environmental Consulting Firm, is pleased to announce the hiring of a new Director of Due Diligence.

 Melissa Hunter joins Triterra as our Director of Due Diligence; she is located in the Kalamazoo area and will be overseeing projects statewide. With over ten years of experience in environmental consulting, Ms. Hunter will lead Triterra’s due diligence practice, assisting clients in evaluating and managing environmental risks associated with property transactions. With her extensive experience in the industry, Ms. Hunter is set to bring a fresh perspective to Triterra’s due diligence process, helping clients navigate the increasingly complex landscape of environmental compliance and risk management.

Before joining Triterra, Melissa served as a Geologist at another environmental consulting firm in Michigan, where she was responsible for managing long-term groundwater monitoring programs, conducting environmental site assessments, and overseeing the operation and maintenance of remedial systems at commercial and industrial sites, including US EPA-regulated Superfund sites.

Melissa has also managed various due diligence projects that included ASTM Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, Baseline Environmental Assessments, and Due Care Plans. She has considerable experience in field activities including groundwater and soil sampling, well drilling, excavation, UST removals, and VAPOR PIN®/vapor probe installation and sampling in accordance with EGLE and US EPA-approved methods.

Melissa holds a B.S. in Geology from Western Michigan University, and with her impressive background, Triterra is confident that Melissa will lead the Due Diligence Services team to success and help the company continue to deliver high-quality services to its clients at a time when demand for Triterra’s services is at an all-time high, and the company is looking to expand its reach even further.
