Carrie Breckon
Manager | Accounting & HR
What I do at Triterra:
I oversee Triterra’s Accounting and Human Resource activities. On the finance end, my responsibilities include processing and managing financial transactions as well as overseeing accounts receivable. My role in Human Resources consists of updating the company’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance, facilitating the onboarding of new employees, and managing employee benefits.
Why I love it here:
The people and the culture! The company promotes a positive environment with a strong emphasis on personal and professional growth.
Background and Education:
Prior to working at Triterra, I spent 14 years working as a manager in automotive retail and service as well as 7 years as a loan officer in the financial industry. During this time, I obtained an associate degree in Human Services from Lansing Community College, a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Michigan State University, and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Davenport University. Currently, I am in the process of obtaining my PhD in Human Resources.
What I love to do when I’m not at Triterra:
When not at Triterra, I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, and grandchildren. In the winter, my hobbies include painting, jewelry-making, and anything else where I can create something. During the summer, I love being outside, with much of my time spent at the lake or in the pool.
