Jim Lockwood
Civil Engineering & Remediation Design
What I do at Triterra:
I provide the super-nerdy technical expertise for environmental investigation reports, contamination monitoring, soil management planning, and groundwater flow studies. I also provide in-house civil engineering and remediation design for commercial and residential projects.
Why I love it here:
The Triterra team is a team of competent environmental professionals under excellent leadership. We are high-energy, innovative, responsive, and client-centered. We genuinely love helping our clients meet their goals. So, please let us know how we can help!
Background and Education:
I began my career working for a Civil and Environmental Engineering firm. I provided design services and technical support for wastewater treatment facilities, wellhead protection programs, public infrastructure improvements, and an extensive list of site development projects. Since joining Triterra, I have refined my expertise in soil management planning, vapor mitigation system design, groundwater modeling, and in-depth property research. I have supported permitting and funding efforts on the state, county, and local levels throughout Michigan. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Cornerstone University.
What I love to do when I’m not at Triterra:
As a parent, you choose to enjoy the things your family loves. So I enjoy fine arts, sporting events, board games, hikes, and “family trips” (we stopped using the word “vacation”). When left to myself, I enjoy collecting old and discarded materials for creative repurposing and striving to have a greener lawn than my retired neighbors.
